It was most wonderful to hold our second concert of this year on the 29th of October! Led by our conductor Lachlan Macdonald, we have been working so hard on Dvorak’s Stabat Mater for so long, and it was a privilege to be able to share our work with you. We would not have been able to do it without our accompanist Zac Hamilton-Russel’s immense piano skill – he was essentially doubling for an entire orchestra for ninety minutes straight! We were additionally honoured to be joined by our four wonderful soloists, being Rachael Joyce, Jack Jordan, Alexandra Amerides and Nicholas Dinopoulos, who elevated the work to unseen heights. And a thanks to St John’s Camberwell for being such an accomodating and beautiful venue!
And finally, thank you so much to the whole MonUCS community, for continuing to support our musical endeavours. We hope you enjoyed Stabat Mater as much as we did! And we look forward to putting on many more exciting and enthralling concerts in the future.
